Who are Cumbernauld Appliance Repairs?

Cumbernauld Appliance Repairs was launched in 2004 and is one of the leading independent kitchen domestic appliance repair & sales specialists in the area. Our local experienced domestic appliance engineers, provide a quick, professional appliance repair service to dishwashers, washing machines, ovens, range cookers, fridge freezers, hobs, cooker hood extractors, tumble dryers, wine coolers and microwave ovens both integrated, built in or free standing. We also offer worry free installations of new appliances

You offer a Labour Only repair, what is included?

The labour charge repair fee includes the cost of the service engineers call out and labour up to 2 hours. A general service (if required) plus testing and a professional safety check. A full written report on work carried out, parts fitted and advisory warnings. A repair will be carried out to resolve the fault entered in the "Description of Fault" box on your original enquiry form.

Is work guaranteed?

Yes. The labour charge repair is guaranteed to cover the initial fault for 90 days from fitting of part(s) or completion of call. Certain parts may also come with a 1 year warranty.

What is not guaranteed?

The guarantee is void if the fault is for example blockages or due to appliances that have not been installed in accordance with the manufacturers' instructions & recommendations. Repairs as a result of operator error, misuse or negligence. If any parts fitted are found to have failed due to misuse, neglect or not being used under the manufacturers' instructions & recommendations or as a result of another faulty or failed part then the guarantee will be void. If an engineer cannot find the fault reported under the guarantee where the appliance performs normally. In all the above cases you will be charged a engineers time of £70.00 + VAT for fixed price booked calls or you will still be liable to pay the full charge if a labour only call was booked.

Can you repair gas appliances?

Yes. We can repair a wide range of gas appliances including cookers, ovens and hobs. If you have a gas fuelled domestic appliance that needs repairing you can rest assured all our gas appliance engineers are highly trained and certified to Gas Safe Standards. Availability of these engineers are limited depending on your area but this will be confirmed after your call is booked.

How quickly can your service engineer attend my appliance?

Depending on demand and time of year we can arrange for our service engineer to visit you the following working day following your labour charge repair booking. The engineer will visit between the hours of 8am to 1pm and 1pm to 6pm depending on your booking request. We do not currently conduct repairs at Sundays but do sometimes have availability for Saturdays depending on your area and engineer availability, please check with our Customer Services Department first on 01236 801844.

What if your service engineer cannot repair the appliance?

If in the event that your appliance is deemed to be beyond economical repair, part(s) are deemed to be in excess of £150 & or we are unable to obtain spare parts from our suppliers to repair the appliance we will refund you the original fixed price fee paid less a engineers time/administration charge of £70.00 + VAT or you will still be liable to pay the full charge if a labour only call was booked.

Do you cover all kitchen appliances and of any age?

We cover nearly all domestic appliance makes and models and of any age however the result of the repair will depend on if we can still source the parts required from the manufacturers. Some older domestic appliances can be retro fitted with parts from other domestic appliances from time to time.

What payment methods do you take?

Payment for you repair is required at the end of the call, our engineers accepts most major credit & debit cards.

If I need a part(s) ordered how long will this take?

This will mainly depend on the age of your domestic appliance and manufacturers stock of spare parts. Our engineers have van stock of the most common parts for the most common brands but we cannot guarantee that we will have the required part on board at every call. We stock parts for most common brands and normally can get them within 48 hours of his initial call out as long as the manufacture has them in stock. Our service engineers will order the part(s) and subject to availability we will deliver this to them within 2 working days. They will then contact you to arrange a suitable date to fit the part(s) and complete the repair. This can be considerably longer for certain brands.

Do you repair commercial appliances?

Yes but No But Yes? We exclude commercial appliances, domestic appliances installed in commercial premises and appliances situated in caravans or on boats.
